Vintage JJ Jonette Jewelry Pewter Mushroom Trinket Box & Brooch Pin and Earrings

This is such a unique and charming item!

Appearing as a simple, mini trinket case, when the lid is removed, you realize there is more to this piece than first appeared. The lid itself doubles as a brooch pin, and two of the mushrooms in relief on lid are also a set of stud post earrings. (Don't worry, there are mushrooms sculpted into the lid/brooch under the earrings, so there will be no gaps in the design while you are wearing the earrings.)

Please see the inside lid close-up to see the JJ Jonette "JJ" maker's mark. This company operated out of Rhode Island from 1935 until they shut their doors in 2006. Whimsical, cottagecore pewter sets such as this piece were mostly produced by them in the 70s and 80s, which fits nicely with the level of patina that this set displays.
