Vintage 1976 Jimmy Carter Smiling Peanut Bank - Cardinal Inc. Blow Mold 13”

This smiling peanut bank was produced during Jimmy Carter's 1976 presidential campaign to highlight his background as a Georgia peanut farmer. Several different types of items were produced to support his first presidential campaign that were peanut-themed, though this bank is one of the most iconic.

Condition: 
The body of the bank is in great shape. When I found this item, however, the entire bottom portion of it was cracked and some of the plastic was missing. Using plasti-weld, porcelain clay, and air-dry clay, I re-sculpted the bottom of the bank and replaced the cork as the original was missing, probably due to the damage on the underside of the bank. I have sculpted, sanded, painted, and color-matched the repair to the best of my restoration ability.
