Stunning VTG Hand-Thrown Studio Pottery Vase w/ Crystalline Drip Glaze 4" tall

This beautiful, heavy-bottomed studio pottery vase features a masterful glaze transition - from the deep, matte-to-glossy dark brown of the body of the vessel to the honey-gold crystalline and amber "fat lava" style drip around the rim.

This is a lovely piece in the photos but even more stunning in person. It has a real heft to it, quality craftsmanship for MCM, Boho, or earthy minimalist decor schemes.

The piece is unsigned, but the quality of the throwing and the complexity of the glaze suggests a skilled artisan or enthusiastic skilled amateur's hand. It is beautiful art pottery that is sturdy enough to hold a practical place in your home as well.

In excellent used vintage condition. Glaze is shiny and intact. No cracks or crazing that I could find. There is some uneven glaze at the base of the piece consistent with the artist being a very skilled but likely amateur potter.
