Price Imports (or Price Products) produced a wide variety of novelty, officially licensed merchandise in the 1970s. These pieces were often painted very quickly (though it should be noted, were still hand-painted!) leading to interesting features such as those representing beloved Looney Toons character, Wile E. Coyote on this bisque character bell, produced and sold in 1979. Items such as this one, however, represent not only the character and his cartoons, but also is a piece of the USA's manufacturing history. 

While this item is not perfect, some of this era's memorabilia was imperfect at the time of purchase and I believe this is an example of that. There is evidence on this item that the imperfections in the texture of the bisque, the enigmatic sculpting of Wile E., and the 'creative' paint job of his facial features appear now the same as they did in 1979 while this item was on the shelf in the store awaiting its first owner. These idiosyncrasies do not appear to be the outcome of wear. Otherwise, there are no chips or cracks, and the bell still rings as clearly as ever.
Call him "ugly-cute", "70s kitsch", or "whimsically unhinged", but if you love him, call him "yours."
